Ethel H. Gogert, age 91, died on Friday, August 19, 2011 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
The visitation for Ethel will be at Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Pastor Paul Vander Galien officiating. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in the town of Trenton, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Ethel Hilda Woock was born on December 31, 1919 to William and Lille (Zarndt) Woock in Burnett, Wisconsin. She was confirmed on April 9, 1933 at Zion Lutheran Church in Burnett. Ethel was united in marriage with Rodney Gogert at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Beaver Dam on May 21, 1955. She helped her husband farm for 40 years. Ethel was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell for over 30 years and was active in the Ladies Aid. She also sang in the Salem Choir and with the St. Stephen”s Radio Choir. Ethel was a volunteer at Hillside Manor for 30 years.
Survivors are her husband, Rodney of Beaver Dam, a brother, Wilbur (Marie) Woock of Fort Dodge, Iowa, many special nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Edna Rhode, and two brothers, Art Woock and Willard Woock.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Ethel Gogert”s name to Salem Lutheran Church or to a charity of choice.
