Ethel Marie (Yaroch) Hatzinger, born February 20, 1922 in the Township of Westford, WI; daughter of Fred & Lulu (Lentz) Yaroch, died December 13, 2008 at Golden Living Manor in Randolph, WI.
Ethel was married to Merle L. Hatzinger on April 22, 1940. She farmed with her husband for 45 years in the Lost Lake area of Dodge County, WI. In addition to farming, Ethel also worked for 20 years at Rockwell and 5 years at Jung”s Seed Co. in Randolph, WI. She then worked for Green Giant Co. in Beaver Dam, WI for 11 years and then for Wisconsin Cheeseman”s Co. in Madison, WI until she retired. Ethel was a member of the St. Mary”s Church, the Christian Mother”s Society, and the Lost Lake Historical Society, all of Lost Lake, WI. She was also a country gourmet chef and baker for friends and families in the area.
Survivors include two daughters; Darlene (Robert) McElhaney, M.D., Marquette, MI, and Diane (Richard) Radloff, Seattle, WA; one son, DuWayne (Judith Erdmann) Hatzinger, Fall River, WI; one granddaughter; Amy Hatzinger (Matthew) MacKenzie; four grandsons; Matthew (Regina) Hatzinger, Nicholas (Jessica) Hatzinger, Christian Noel (McElhaney), Jourdan Radloff; three great-grandchildren, Madeline E. MacKenzie, Caitlyn and Carson Hatzinger; three sisters; Grace (Dale) Foss, Randolph, WI; Jean (Tony) DenDekker, Dixie, MO; and Frances (Nels) Benson, Green Bay, WI; three sisters-in-law: Dolores Hatzinger (LeRoy) Anderson, Madison, WI; Mary (Clarence) Yaroch, Omro, WI; Darlene (Frederick) Yaroch, Castle Rock, CO; and many nieces, and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Merle, in 1987; one son, Joseph, in 1970; three sisters; Eileen (Robert) Braker; Nettie (Bernard) Biel; Dorothy (Donald) Krumenacher; and four brothers, Walter Yaroch, Clarence Yaroch, Frederick, Jr. Yaroch and Eugene Yaroch; and three brothers-in-law, Bernard, Dale, and Robert.
At her request, a private visitation, for family only, will be held, with no formal funeral service.
