Evelyn H. Albert, age 94, of Horicon, died peacefully on Saturday, December 29, 2012 at Marvin”s Manor.
The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Jonathan Szczesny officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.
Evelyn Helen Schaefer was born on July 22, 1918 in the Township of Kewaskum, Wisconsin to Edward and Helen (Klukas) Schaefer. She married Oscar Albert at Peace United Church of Christ in Kewaskum on September 10, 1938.
A lifelong resident of Horicon, Evelyn volunteered for 50 plus years for Horicon Election Board, Red Cross Blood Bank, and Beaver Dam Hospital. She also worked part time at the City Clerk”s office and many Horicon businesses. She will be remembered for her willingness to help anyone who needed a helping hand.
Evelyn was a devoted member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church where she was the first church secretary for many years, member of the Ladies Guild, and various other committees.
Evelyn is survived by her son William Albert of Bloomington, MN, a sister Edna Sepersky of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar, and a brother, Armond Schaefer.
If desired, memorials may be made in Evelyn”s name to St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 505 Palmatory St., Horicon, WI 53032.
