Fern E. Bublitz, age 94, of Hartford, died on Monday, June 9, 2014 at Wellington Place.
The visitation will be at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford on Saturday, June 14, 2014 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The funeral service will follow at the church on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Enderle and Rev. Aaron Steinbrenner officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
The former Fern Erna Derge was born on September 28, 1919 in the Town of Herman, Dodge County, Wisconsin to Irvin and Olga (Milbrot) Derge. She was united in marriage with Alfred A. “Al” Bublitz at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Town of Herman on August 4, 1945. Fern”s most prized possession was her family and she enjoyed every moment spent with them. Above family, came God. She was a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford where she served as a charter member of the Lutheran Women”s Missionary Society and as an officer in the society. She worked many years for Chrysler Outboard Company, retiring in 1981.
Survivors are her children, Daniel Bublitz of Cedarburg, Janis (Rev. Jerome) Enderle of Theresa, Jim Bublitz of Reeseville, Elaine Knack of West Bend, and Kenneth (Missy) Bublitz of Shorewood, IL; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Dorothy “Dotti” Justman; son-in-law, Roger Justman; grandchild, Japheth Justman; sister, Elvira Schlitt; brother, Delmar Derge.
If desired, memorials may be made in Fern Bublitz name to Peace Lutheran Church or School or to Friends of China.
