Services: A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, LeRoy, WI with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack officiating.
Visitation: A visitation for Florence will be held on Thursday, June 27 from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. at the church in LeRoy.
Florence F. Vollmer (nee Leigl), age 96, a resident of the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home, formerly of Mayville passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at the Fond du Lac Lutheran Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Florence will be held on Thursday, June 27 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Andrew Catholic Church, LeRoy, WI with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack officiating. A visitation for Florence will be held on Thursday, June 27 from 2:00 – 4:30 p.m. at the church in LeRoy. Burial will follow at St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery in LeRoy.
Florence was born the daughter of Frank X. & Anna (Urban) Leigl on April 24, 1917 in Tn. LeRoy. Florence was united in marriage to Felix Vollmer on May 14th, 1952 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in LeRoy. She was a homemaker and took wonderful care of her family. She was well known for her turtle soup at card parties and she enjoyed poker, sheepshead, and a good game of scrabble. She also was an avid quilt sewer. Most of all she enjoyed many joyful hours with her granddaughter Amberly.
She was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church where she was a past member of the Christian Mothers. She also attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville.
Florence is survived by her daughter- Carol (George) Bera of Fond du Lac. Her granddaughter- Amberly (Paul) Brester of Fond du Lac. Her great granddaughter- Addison Brester. Further survived by nieces & nephews other relatives & friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Felix in 1970, her brothers- John, Adolph, and Frankie. Her sisters- Mary Schmid and Adela Wells. 1 son Donald in infancy.
