Floyd B. Braund, 92 years old, of Janesville, and formerly of Horicon, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at Beaver Dam High School auditorium, Beaver Dam, with Perry Pearson and Luther Raine officiating. A visitation will be held on Friday, May 1st from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam, and also on Saturday May 2nd from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. at Beaver Dam High School auditorium. Burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens, township of Trenton.Floyd B. Braund was born on November 18, 1922 to John and Golda (Tremain) Braund in Hustler, WI (Juneau County). He was united in marriage to Grace Baeseman on May 28, 1949 in Wausau, WI. Floyd was a veteran of WWII, serving in the Army Medical Corp. in the Philippines, Japan, and New Guinea.Together with his wife, Grace, they farmed in Dodge County for 9 years. They then moved to Horicon, and they owned and operated Surge Dairy Farm Equipment in Horicon for 22 years.Floyd is survived by his wife of 65 years – Grace; together they were blessed with their son Gary (Karen) Braund of Janesville, 2 grandchildren- Tanya Braund and Tracy (Richard) Hagen, and 2 great grandchildren Keaton Hagen and BriAnna Hagen; He is also survived by his brother Bill Braund of Menomonee Falls, WI; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Floyd is preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters- Violet & Myrtle, and 8 brothers- Vern, Earl, Glenn, Kenneth, John, George, Robert & Phillip.**For Floyd God came first in his life; his entire life revolved around this.**
