Marvin and Ruth Thomforde left a message on September 17, 2012:
There are none that knew the couple Dorothy and Floyd that did not want what they had. The love and respect that they showed for each other was a wish that each of us that knew them as children wanted for ourselves when we met that special person for our own marriages. Dorothy had a way to keep Floyd "in line" with just a "Dad" comment and he knew when Dorothy needed his help without her even having to ask. Such a team! Now they are reunited and smiling down on us as we morn Floyds passing. What a privlege it was to be in their circle of love. So many of us-all the Berg nieces and newphews, the Otto kids, the Brooks children they claimed as their own, how blessed we were to have been loved by the team of Floyd and Dorothy. I have missed Dorothy for as long as she has been gone and will miss Floyd as well-but to know they are again reunited and we will see them again give a kind of satisfaction in the plan that our Lord has for each of us. So together we grieve, but hope and celebrate together for the love they shared with us and the time when we will all be together again. I sure hpe they have decks of cards in heaven!
