Frank B. Pipia, age 74 of Fox Lake, found eternal peace on Tuesday, November 30, 2010 at his home.
The visitation for Frank will be at Living Hope Community Church, 740 W. State St. (Hwy 33) in Fox Lake on Saturday, December 4, 2010 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Saturday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Verlan Van Ee officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Frank B. Pipia, was born on February 15, 1936 in Milwaukee, the son of Salvatore & Antonina (Cefalu) Pipia. On March 20, 1954, he was united in marriage with Carol George at St. Rose of Lima Peru Church in Milwaukee. Frank was an original member of The Italian Community Center and Pompeii Men”s Club. He was the designer and creator of the The Italian Rose; the symbol of strength and beauty which gained national notoriety and fame. He was also the founder and owner of Pipia”s Italian Deli and Restaurant; as well as a welder instructor by trade in Milwaukee. Dad, you will be deeply missed and loved, please continue to guide us on our journeys now and when we see you again.
He is survived by his best friend and wife of over 56 years, Carol T. Pipia of Fox Lake, loving father of Salvatore (Lori) of New Berlin, Frank (Jane) of Brookfield, and Anthony (Lori) of Fox Lake, grandchildren, Mario, Carlo, Trevor, Tanner, Antonio, Hailey, Gino and Julia, brother, Charles Pipia of Jackson, sister, Conchetta (Butch) Palkowski of Greenfield, loving nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Thomas and Peter and two sisters, Angie LeTendre and Rose Marcum.
Memorials to the family for a charity named at a later date are appreciated.
