Frederick W. Luck

June 23, 1926 - April 21, 2010

Frederick W. Luck, age 83, of Horicon, died Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital .

Visitation for Fred will be at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon on Sunday, April 25, 2010 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at church on Sunday, beginning at 3:00 PM with Rev. Jonathan Szczesny officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.

Frederick Walter Luck was born on June 23, 1926 in the Town of Westford, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Frederick C. and Adelia (Luedke) Luck. He attended area schools and graduated from Randolph High School. On February 17, 1947, he was united in marriage with Beverly Welch in Horicon. Fred worked for Helbing Distributors for 25 years and then for the Horicon School System for 10 years. He loved to play dartball and won several trophies through the years. He served as an Alderman in Horicon and was an active member of St. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church for many years.

Survivors include his wife, Beverly Luck of Horicon; three children, Gary (Tori) Luck of Boise, Idaho, Fred Luck of Oshkosh, and Pamela (Dan) Zacharias of Rhinelander; six grandchildren, Aaron (Amy) Luck of Alabama, Joshua (Mindy) Luck of North Carolina, Nicole Luck of California, Amanda Luck of Oshkosh, Chad Zacharias of Rhinelander, and Sarah Zacharias of Rhinelander; five great grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter-in-law, Sandra Luck, two brothers, and two sisters.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Frederick W. Luck”s name to. Stephen Ev. Lutheran Church, 505 N. Palmatory St., Horicon, WI 53032.
