Frieda E. Puetz

Frieda Ellen Puetz, age 89, of Horicon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2017 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 1 at 11:30 a.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:30 on Friday, December 1, at the funeral home. A luncheon will follow the service at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery in Horicon.Frieda was born on March 6, 1928 the daughter of Edward and Linda (Schilling) Huettner. She was married to Luverne Puetz on July 3, 1947.She had been employed at the canning factory for 13 years and had cleaned homes for many years. Frieda was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Horicon. She enjoyed coloring, needlepoint, playing yahtzee and Chinese checkers. Frieda also loved watching the ducks in the pond at the Manor.Frieda is survived by her children: Margaret Kastenmeier of Beaver Dam, John (Kathy) Puetz of Sturgeon Bay, WI and Sallie (Cisco) Oechsner of Burnett; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; her brother Edward (Virginia) Huettner of Horicon.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Luverne Puetz on January 1, 1993, her sisters Marie Huettner, Goldie Bruchert and her twin sister Elda Lookman, two brothers-in-law: Howard Bruchert and Harold Lookman and two nephews: Jeffrey Huettner and Howard Bruchert, Jr. and her cat Pumpkin.Special thanks to staff at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam for their care and support as well as Hillside Hospice for the care shown to Frieda and her family.Memorials may be directed to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry in Horicon.
