It is with great sadness that the family of Gale “Herb” H. Verwiebe, of Mayville, WI announces his passing after a heart attack, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018, at the age of 76 years. Gale will be lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend of 46 years, Anne of Mayville and his children, Brooke (Michael) White of New Bern, NC., Eric (Tara) Verwiebe of Kailua, HI., and Laura (Jeff) Frink of Rapid City, SD. Gale was proud to be Poppa to five grandchildren, Elise, Parker, Carson, Luke, and Max. Gale was predeceased by his father, Herb, his mother, Norma, and his brother, Darell. His humor, wit, and laughter will be desperately missed by his mother-in-law, many brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces, and nephews.Gale taught us to love God above all things and to always do your best, to passionately love family and friends, to laugh at your own jokes (even if they aren’t funny because chances are you will make others laugh just by showing joy), and to trust that God always provides, sharing your faith with everyone you meet. A Celebration of Gale’ s life will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, March 20th, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Rt 2, 23 Main St. Kekoskee with the Rev. Dennis Bratz officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 20 from 10-11 a.m. at the church in Kekoskee.Gale loved his huskies, Princess, Todd, and Stevie and was devoted to helping foster huskies in need of care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in memory of Gale may be made to Adopt A Husky, Inc, P.O. Box 87226, Carol Stream, Il 60188-7226.
