George Paitrick, age 74, of Fox Lake, died Thursday, May 12, 2011 at UW Hospital in Madison.
A memorial gathering will be held at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will take place at the funeral home in Beaver Dam beginning at 3:00 PM; John R. Leiting will be the Celebrant. Immediately following the service, folks are invited to the Beaver Dam Veterans Center where military honors will be provided by John E. Miller American Legion Post# 146. At the conclusion of the military honors, a light lunch will be served and the family will continue to greet guests. Inurnment will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
George E. Paitrick was born on November 25, 1936 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Marvin and Mabel (Draheim) Paitrick. After graduating from Beaver Dam High School in 1955, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served three years as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division. On October 12, 1957, George was united in marriage with Marverne Wagener at St. Peter”s Rectory in Beaver Dam. He worked at Beaver Gunite for many years and was a life-long avid Packer fan. George loved spending time with his family and friends, tinkering and fixing things, hunting, fishing, bird-watching, and the great outdoors.
Survivors include his wife, Marverne Paitrick of Fox Lake; five children, Therese (Larry) DeSimone of Leesburg, VA, Pamela (Darryl) Schulz of Corona, CA, Daniel Paitrick of Waupun, Paul (Heidi) Paitrick of Fox Lake, and Peter (Diane) Paitrick of West Bend; six grandchildren, Nickolas, Emily, Colette, Emily “Emmy”, Jay, and Kristin; a great grandson, Donovan; a sister and two brothers, Patricia (Jim) Giebel of Fond du Lac, Marvin (Emily) Paitrick, and Robert (Terry) Paitrick of Beaver Dam; two brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law, Richard (Georgine) Wagener of Madison, Dennis Pfarrer of Stoughton, and Valorie Boczkiewicz of Mukwonago, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. George was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Dale Paitrick.
