Geraldine “Gerry” Magyar

Geraldine “Gerry” Magyar, 82 years old, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in Georgia.A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. Father Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Saturday, September 17th at St. Mary Church from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Mayville.Gerry was born in Two Rivers, WI on November 27, 1933. Her family moved to Mayville where she married Carl W. Magyar on August 27, 1955. Gerry and Carl moved to Brown Deer, WI where she worked in retail for almost 20 years. She later retired to the Northwoods of Florence County, WI with her husband Carl. After Carl’s death, she returned to Mayville, where she was an active member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. Gerry then moved to Atlanta, GA are three years ago.Gerry is survived by her loving children Nancy Magyar of CO, Gary (Wanda) Magyar of WA, Carol Magyar of GA, Peter Magyar of FL, Jill (Tom Burbey) Magyar of GA, and Paul (Tracey) Magyar of WI; her sisters Pat (David) Reinheimer and Mary (John) Wagner; 16 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.Gerry is preceded in death by her husband Carl.
