Glen C. McPherson, age 53, formerly of Chicago, IL, died on Sunday, November 3, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Beaver Dam.
The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Thursday, November 7, 2013 from 10:00 AM until 10:50 AM. The funeral service will follow at the funeral home on Thursday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Peter Ostrander officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam with military honors provided by the John E. Miller American Legion Post #146.
Glenward Cecil McPherson was born on June 4, 1960 in Chicago, Illinois to Cecil I. and Leslie M. (Frakes) McPherson. Glen entered the United States Army in 1978 and received his high school diploma while he was enlisted. On August 8, 1982 he was honorably discharged from the Army and lived in the Chicago area until recently when his health started to decline.
He is survived by his sister, Bonnie (Warren) Foulk of Beaver Dam; brother, Kevin McPherson; two nephews, Tim (Nancy) Foulk and their children, Aaron and Kayla, and Tom Foulk and his children Taylor and Tyler; other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; Grandma, Clara Frakes; and niece, Tammy Foulk.
