Harry J. Curtin of Horicon, formerly of Pittsville, passed away on August 5, 2017 at his home in Horicon surrounded by his family.A memorial service for Harry will take place on Tuesday, August 8 at 1 p.m. at the Koepsell-Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. A visitation will take place on Tuesday, August 8 from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Harry was born on September 28, 1939 the son of John and Marie (Reshel) Curtin in Bakerville, Wisconsin. He was united in marriage to Ethel ‘Mickey’ on February 9, 1963 in Milwaukee. He was a veteran of the National Guard and Merchant Marines. He had worked as an electrician and also in real estate. In his spare time Harry loved to be outdoors whether it was hunting or fishing and enjoyed woodworking. He also had a real love of travel and was able to visit all 50 states and was on several cruises. Harry will be fondly remembered as one who always enjoyed a spirited conversation with anyone who was willing to join in especially his grandchildren.Harry is survived by his wife Ethel. His children- Lance Curtin, Jodi Johnson, Connie (Mitchell) Choy. His brothers- David Curtin of Nekoosa and Jack Curtin of West Allis. His sister- Mae Revak of Marshfield. His 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Further survived by neices, nephews, other relatives, and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Kellie, and 4 sisters Henrietta Schutz, Elaine Brandret, Arlyane Jonas, and Pat Wacynski.
