Helen E. Gindt, age 84, of Mayville passed away on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.A private family graveside service will be held.Helen was born on February 21, 1933 the daughter of Michael and Helen (Micklas) Ondrejka. She was united in marriage to Marvin Gindt on May 29, 1954 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. Helen attended Dodge County Teacher’s College and taught for a number of years at Rural Leader. Later in life, she worked at Beatrice Cheese. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church. In her spare time, Helen enjoyed rummage sales and the time spent with her family and grandchildren.Helen is survived by her children- Laurie (Douglas) Schuster of Fond du Lac and Mark Gindt of Mayville. Her grandchildren- Nicholas (Jamie) Gindt of Sun Prairie, Brittany (Tyler) Tomjanovich of Mount Horeb, and Sarah Schuster of Fond du Lac. Her 2 great grandchildren- Charlotte Gindt and Hailey Tomjanovich. Her sister- Alice Boerst of Mayville. Her brother- George (Karen) Ondrejka of Mayville. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin, siblings- Michael Ondrejka, Charles Ondrejka, Elizabeth Bauer, Arthur Ondrejka, Jenny Block, and Emily Hintz.Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
