Helen E. Sauer

Helen E. Sauer, age 79, of Mayville, WI passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2015 at her home with her family at her side.A funeral service for Helen will be held on Thursday, May 7 at 4 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with Rev. Sean Willman officiating. A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, from 2 p.m. till 4 p.m. at the church. Interment will follow the service at the St. John Cemetery in Mayville. Helen was born on April 27, 1936 in Burnett, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carl and Viola (nee Ruthenberger) Hammann. She was a 1953 graduate of Mayville High School. She was united in marriage to Delmer Sauer on October 16, 1954 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. She was retired from TAB Products in Mayville. Helen will be fondly remembered as a loving mother and grandmother who loved to take care of her family especially cooking and baking for them.Helen is survived by her children: Patricia (Mark) Geschke of Mayville, Laurie (Tracey Emberson) Sotka of Austin, MN., Scott Sauer of Appleton, and Dawn (Chad) Kelm of Mayville. Her sisters- Dorothy (Roland) Schroeder of Horicon, Eileen (Kenneth) Sellnow of Mayville, and Betty (Russell) Kempf of Beachwood. Her brother Arthur (Joanne) Hammann of Sun Prairie. Her grandchildren- Justin (Amanda) Reiser, Karli (Andrew) Resch, Noah Sauer, Mario (special friend Nicole) Geschke, Tyler Geschke, Cody Geschke, Kayla Geschke. Her great grandchildren- Amber Lynn Gable, Caden Mark Geschke, MaKenna Luann Geschke, Isabelle Lynn Resch, Kyler Michael Resch, Josie Lou Reiser. She is further survived by nieces & nephews, other relatives & friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Del in 2007, her siblings- Bernice (Lloyd) Metke and Kenneth Hammann.Memorials may be directed to St. John Ev. Lutheran Church Debt Fund or Agensian Hospice.
