Helen Oestreich, age 89, died Saturday, January 5, 2013 at her home in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Helen will be at Murray Funeral Home, 131 East Maple Avenue in Beaver Dam, on Friday, January 11, 2013 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM. A Life Tribute Service will be held at the funeral home on Friday beginning at 11:30 AM; John Leiting will be the celebrant. Burial will be at St. Michael”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
Helen was born on May 8, 1923 in Dodge County, Wisconsin, the daughter of Frank and Theresa (Nowiki) Cigelski. She was married to Aldin Oestreich in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on September 17, 1950. Helen worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory”s lakeside plant for 42 years.
Survivors include her son, Raymond (Jackie) Oestreich of Beaver Dam; three step grandchildren, Julie (Kyle) Strey of Tennessee, John Reifsnider, and Jill Reifsnider, both of Beaver Dam; a great grandson, Owen Michael Strey; and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; a sister; and two sisters-in-law.
The family would like to thank her caregivers, neighbors, and friends who helped Helen maintain her independence and stay in her home right up to the end.
