Herbert W. Jaeger

Herbert W. Jaeger, age 82, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at his home in the Town of Lowell.

Visitation for Herbert will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Reeseville on Wednesday, October 19, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at church on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will be at the Lowell United Church of Christ on Thursday, October 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Carol Lange officiating. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery.

Herbert William Jaeger was born on June 18, 1929 at the family home in the Town of Lowell, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Wallace and Selma (Kraetzner) Jaeger. He lived in the family home and farmed the land for many years. Herbert retired from John Deere Horicon Works after working there for 23 years. He enjoyed riding his Harley, fixing cars, and ice racing on the river. Herbert was someone that was always there when a friend needed help. He was a member of the Lowell United Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife Charlotte; six children, Allen (Michelle) Jaeger of Juneau, Donna (Duane) Fuller of Beaver Dam, Tammy Zimmermann of Lowell, Sandra (Robert) Westphal of Reeseville, Shirley (Charlie) Thompson of Lowell, and Gerald Jaeger of Beaver Dam; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a step son, Robert (Brenda) Davison of Lowell; a step granddaughter; his sister, Betty Deltgen of Cedarburg; other relatives and friends. Herbert was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Linda Jaeger; a granddaughter, Heather Nowak; and a sister Gladys Grosenick.

If desired, memorials may be made in Herbert Jaeger”s name to the Lowell United Church of Christ.
