Jade MengMeng Wilson, 24, was as generous in death as she was in life. Jade died tragically Sunday, April 8, 2018 as a result of injuries sustained in a fire. Jade was born in China and blessed her family by coming home to them in January 2001 at the age of 7 ½ . Jade attended Prairie View and Lincoln Elementary Schools, Beaver Dam Middle School, and graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 2014. Jade held several positions in various Beaver Dam businesses, most recently at Shopko. Jade was very proud of her independence and work experiences. Jade volunteered at the local food pantries and supported the American Heart Association and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Jade loved all things fashion and glam. She was an avid fan of Taylor Swift, Sam Hunt and The Chainsmokers and closely followed social media. Jade in her own words wrote: “Jade is this awesome amazing girl who’s an awesome friend as she is always there for her friends, she sticks up for what she believes is right, all the time, she’s loyal to who is loyal to her, but will not be walked over, she trusts until she has reason not to and believes in second chances. She’s a big dreamer and determined to make her dreams reality, she’s very caring, very mad, and just an all-round nice person and friend. #friend, #girl, #cool, #loyal, #dreamer.” Jade will be missed by her parents: Joe Wilson (special friend, Linda and her daughter, Kirsta Lutes) and Louise Wilson; her brothers: Jake Wilson (fiancée Stephanie Smith) and Sean Wilson; her sister and best friend, Liz Wilson; her grandparents: Fritz and Kathy Friday; her aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jade was welcomed into Heaven by her grandfather, Ted Wilson Sr.; grandmothers: Edith Wilson (Grandma Wilson) and Ardelle Friday (Gram); aunts, Becky Wilson, Bernie Soderquist and uncles, Michael Wilson, Gary Wilson, and Chris Wilson. Jade true to her wishes was an organ donor, thus bringing hope to tragedy. A memorial gathering will take place at Grace Presbyterian Church in Beaver Dam on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the memorial service at 1 p.m. at the church. Rev. Chris Davis will officiate. Inurnment will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

I remember Jade when she came her first day to Prairie View Elementary School. I welcomed her with a gift, I gave her a stuff Panda Bear. Every child usually has a Teddy Bear to love and grow up with, so I thought Jade needed a Panda Bear. She thanked me very much for such a wonderful gift. The last time I had the honor to meet her again was when I was checking out at Walmart. She said Hi Mrs. Wimmer. I took her she would have to give me a hint as to what her name was. When she said she was Jade Wilson, and that she still had the Panda Bear I had given her on the first day of school. He was sitting on her bed. We gave each other a Hug, I told her I was so glad to see her again, and wished her well. I told her she turned into a beautiful young lady. I was so glad she recognized me.
