James A. Duffus Jr., 70, of Mayville and formerly of Milwaukee passed away on Friday, December 7, 2018 at Crossroads Nursing Home in Mayville.James was born the son of James A. and Lucille (Hoyt) Duffus Sr. on March 6, 1948 in St. Louis, MO. He was a graduate of Custer High School in Milwaukee. He was married to Mary Sheahan on September 27, 1969 in Milwaukee. James retired from Thunder Packaging in Menomonee Falls. James enjoyed the outdoors especially fishing and camping. He appreciated the Native American culture. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family. James is survived by his wife, Mary Duffus; his children: James A. Duffus III, Sherri (Steven) Henningfield, Daniel (Sarah) Duffus, and Tammi (Ron) Steldt; his siblings: Carolyn (Alan) Mitchell, Gertrude Goldamar, Faith Krebs, and Leath Duffus; his brother-in-law, Richard Kirchoff; sister-in-law, Sue (Chuck) Behrend; 12 grandchildren: Richard, Heather, Nicole (Mario), Daniel, Stephanie, Morgan, Brian, Brittany, Alicia, Ashley, Ronald, and Katie; four great-grandchildren: Shelby, Emily, Samantha, and Ezra; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Audrey Kirchoff; and his brother, Harry Duffus.A visitation will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., and also on Thursday, December 13 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the church with Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack officiating. Interment will take place at Washington Co. Memorial Park.
