James A. Wiseman, Jr. age 55, of Horicon, passed away peacefully at his home on February 6, 2019 at his home following a brief illness.A funeral service for Jim will take on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 1 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. Allen Behnke officiating. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2019 from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. Burial will take place at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery (River Church) with military honors conducted by the Mayville American Legion Post #69.Jim was born the son of James and Louise (Lisocki) Wiseman, Sr. on May 6, 1963 in Hartford. Jim proudly served his country in the US Navy and served on the USS Sacramento as a boiler tech. He was united in marriage to Dawn Laabs on May 2, 1987 in Mayville. He was currently employed at Rumar Mfg. in Mayville for that past 12 years. He was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville and also the Mayville American Legion Post #69 where he served on the Mayville Color Guard. In his spare time, Jim had a passion for the outdoors where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and most importantly spending time with his family.Jim is survived by his wife- Dawn of Horicon. His daughters- Cheyenne Wiseman of Horicon and Gracie Wiseman of Horicon. His father- James (Mary) Wiseman, Sr. of Winona, MS. His in laws- Armin ‘Butch’ and Patricia Laabs of Mayville. Sisters in law- Kerry (Jeff) Vollmer of Kekoskee, Sherrie (Kevin) Pavelka of Theresa, and Diana (Billy) Linzenmeyer of Beaver Dam. His siblings- Sheila (Jeff) Wallendal of Horicon and Shawn (Jan) Wiseman of Richton, MS. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.He was preceded in death by his mother Louise, and his uncle Joe Lisocki.
