Jane Marie Thomas

March 31, 1937 - December 11, 2012

Jane M. Thomas, age 75, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2012 at Sylvan Crossings in Beaver Dam surrounded by her loving family.

The visitation will be at Murray Funeral Home, in Beaver Dam, on Saturday, December 15, 2012 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will follow at the funeral home on Saturday at 1:00 PM. John R. Leiting will be the celebrant. Inurnment will be at a later date at St. Michael”s Cemetery in Beaver Dam.

The former Jane Marie Siegel was born on March 31, 1937 to Thomas and Ann (Nampel) Siegel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was united in marriage with Myron Thomas on November 13, 1954 and to this union, she was blessed with six sons and one daughter. Jane was a long-time member of Beaver Dam Elks Club and was the Member of the Year. She was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed playing Bingo. Jane had a unique, feisty attitude and get-togethers will not be the same without her.

Jane will be missed by her children, Dan (Carol), Randy, both of Beaver Dam, Scott (Debra) of Horicon, Dean (Connie) of Markesan, Steve “Larry” (Kathy), Tammy Nickel (Dan Weinberger), and Tony (Nina), all of Beaver Dam; grandchildren, Eric (Kacie) and Brad (Missy) Thomas, Tara (Scott) Garner and Jared (Jenny) Franke, Natalie (Ryan) Conant, Matthew (Nicole), Dylan and Travis Thomas, Jennifer (Phil Carroll), Rachel (J.J.) Schraufnagel and Melissa Thomas (Mike Gnieser), Ryan (Sondra Carpenter) and Kristin Thomas, Caitlyn, Morgan, and Lauren Nickel, Tia and Logan Thomas; 11 great grandchildren; three sisters, Betty (John) Davidson of Reedsburg, Karen Vujnovich of California, and Sandra Huck of Waupun; two brothers-in-law, Mike Vujnovich of Gleason, and Bernie (Sharon) Dusso of Aurora, CO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Myron, her sister, Barbara Dusso, and brother-in-law, Roger Huck.

A special thank you to all of the staff and caregivers at Sylvan Crossings Assisted Living in Beaver Dam for assisting in Jane”s care for the past five years. Also a special thank you to Generations Hospice staff and caregivers for the specialized care and concern they extended to Jane and her family over the past three months. Your generosity and kindness will never be forgotten

jane was a great joy to take care she always knew when you were not looking and thought she could get away also i loved it when i would be backing at 1am and she would come to the kitchen for a cookie she will be dearly missed by all of us at sylvan
