Janice ‘Jan’ M. (Jahns) Jozefowski of 409 Hillcrest Drive, Beaver Dam and formerly of Fond du Lac passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the UW Hospital in Madison.
Funeral Services for Jan will be on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at NOON at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Visitation will also be held on Sat., March 13th from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at NOON at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Beaver Dam. Interment will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam.
Janice Marie was born the daughter of Robert ‘Buddy’ and Viola (Gabathuler) Jahns on February 20, 1947 in Beaver Dam. She was united in marriage to Peter Jozefowski on May 27, 1981 in Juneau.
In 1994, Jan received her High School Equivalency Diploma in Beaver Dam. Jan had been employed at Green Giant in Beaver Dam for 11 years, Glasfoss in Juneau for 6 years and most recently at Caravan Trailers in Fox Lake.
Jan enjoyed reading and listening to all kinds of music. Jan deeply loved her family especially her granddaughters and cherished the time she spent with them.
Jan is survived by her husband, Peter of Beaver Dam; her son, Rick (Petra) Wightman of Fond du Lac; her daughter, Renee (Michael) Hackbarth of Beaver Dam; two granddaughters: Kaitlyn and Kylie Hackbarth both of Beaver Dam; her sister, Christine (Clarence) Treder of Juneau; two brothers: Eugene ‘Pete’ Jahns of Beaver Dam and Curt (Nancy) Jahns of Juneau; two foster mothers: Mary Licitar of Wisconsin Dells and Carol Snyder of Fond du Lac; her father and mother-in-law: Bruno and Mary Jozefowski of Princeton and her ‘Babies,’ her Siamese cats: Tiger and Pooh. She is further survived by her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Robert ‘Joe’ Jahns in 2000, her twin sister, Janet King in 2000, niece, Lori Treder Johannes in 1990 and her former husband, Richard C. Wightman.
One of Jan’s final requests is that you please arrive comfortably with casual dress.
