Verna was a dear friend of my mother's and helped her for many years in so many ways. She was kind and caring, and had a great sense of humor, too. I loved looking at the family pictures when I visited her. She certainly adored all her grandchildren. I will miss her!

No greater love has any man than to lay down his life for a friend...Jason was not only willing to lay down his life for a friend, but for all Americans through his U.S. Military Service in Viet Nam. As the underlying cause of his severe health problems was exposure to "Agent Orange" while serving his country, he has indeed laid down his life for our freedoms. He is to be honored for that. In my opinion, his greatest accomplishments in life was fathering our three beautiful daughters, Jennifer, Julie & Jessica... they have all grown into admirable women and we were both so very proud of them. Jason, I salute you for your military service and I thank you for the greatest gifts in my life, our daughters....you done good! My deepest sympathies go to our daughters, Jennifer, Julie & Jessica; Will our grandson,Helen, his wife, Ryan and Laura, his step son and daughter in law, his sisters Leila and Nancy and all his extended family and friends, You are in my prayers! Jackie Stearns (First Wive''s Club :) )

Helen and Family, Sue and I want to express our sympathies in your loss. Jason is at peace now, his battles with his illness are now over. As I have known Jason over the years, he was a very dedicated Comrade. He did much to improve the Veterans of Foreign Wars Department of Wisconsin. No task was too big for him to handle. His VFW family will indeed miss him. Sincerely, Steve Lawrence Past State Commander VFW Department of Wisconsin

After losing touch with Jason after Scott died we got reconnected when we took care of our Dad. It was a trying time for both of us but we made it. He is now with mom, dad, and Scott. He is at peace and in a far better place. God is with us all and we need to rely on him in this time of sorrow.
