Jean A. Noll, age 66, of Juneau, died Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.
Visitation for Jean will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. Michael J. Erwin will officiate. Burial will be at Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Juneau.
The former Jean Ann Bauer was born on January 5, 1944 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Max and Maxine (Neuman) Bauer. She attended St. Peter”s Grade School and was a 1962 graduate of Beaver Dam High School. On May 4, 1963, Jean was united in marriage with William Noll at St. Peter”s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Together they owned and operated Household Liquidators from 1982 to 1990. In 1990, Jean went back to school and graduated from Marian College in 1994 with a Bachelor”s Degree in Social Work. She worked for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections until she retired in January of 2010. Jean was active in her community throughout her life. She taught CCD at Immaculate Conception Church for 12 years; she served as the Executive Director of Red Cross for several years; she worked as a children”s advocate for PAVE from 1990 to 1995; she had been active with FISH, a group of volunteers that assist others in various ways; she provided in-home health care for over 30 years; and she did all of this while raising four children and being loyal to her loving husband. One of Jean”s greatest pleasures was her grandchildren. She loved to spend time with them and was always interested in what they were doing.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Noll of Juneau; three children, Chuck (Anne) Noll of Neosho, Katherine (James) Williams of Milwaukee, and Missi (Jason) Schall of Juneau; five grandchildren, Kayla Noll, Maria Noll, Allison Noll, Josephine Schall, and Kira Schall; her sister, Elizabeth Justman of LaValle; her brother, William (Mary Ann) Bauer of LeSueur, MN; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Noll; two brothers-in-law; and a nephew.
