Jean Feisthammel, age 75, formerly of Beaver Dam, died Sunday, August 26, 2012 at her home in Watertown.
Visitation for Jean will be at St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church, 505 N. Palmatory in Horicon, on Thursday, August 30, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at church on Thursday beginning at 11:00 AM. Rev. Jonathan D. Szczesny will officiate. Cremation will follow the services.
Jean was born on September 26, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the daughter of Alice (nee: Mintzlaff) Sattler and step daughter of Louis Sattler. On April 21, 1956, she was united in marriage with Gerald Feisthammel in Milwaukee. Jean worked at Briggs and Stratton in Milwaukee for 22 years from 1969 to 1991. In 1993, she and Gerald moved to Pueblo West, Colorado and lived there until moving back to Beaver Dam, Wisconsin in 2001. She was an active member of St. Stephen Evangelical Lutheran Church in Horicon. Jean loved quilting and weaving and was so accomplished that she won awards at the Colorado State Fair for her weaving.
Survivors include her husband, Gerald Feisthammel of Watertown; four children, David Feisthammel of Seattle, WA, Daniel (Mary) Feisthammel of Oconomowoc, Deborah Seimits of Brownsville, and Denise Day of Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Doll of West Allis and Joan (Fran) Gavin of Pueblo West, CO; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her parents and twin sons.
