Jeanette 'Jean' R. Schroeder

Jeanette ‘Jean’ R. Schroeder (nee Matuszewski), age 82 of Mayville, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at her home in Mayville.A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Jean will take place on Tuesday, November 3 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville with the Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack presiding. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 3 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. at the church. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Mayville. Jean was born on April 12, 1933 to Albert and Helen (Mayer) Matuszewski in Mayville. Jean was a 1951 Mayville High School graduate. She was united in marriage to John ‘Jack’ Schroeder on November 6, 1954 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Mayville. She was employed as a receptionist for Purity Cheese and then retired at Excel Tooling. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. In her spare time, Jean enjoyed gardening, going to rummage sales, baking, quilting, reading, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren.Jean is survived by: children- Lori (Timothy) Stieve of Mayville, Michael Schroeder of Lomira, Sandra (Bruce) Price of Mayville, Mary (Michael Dejno) Schroeder of Mayville, Timothy (Michelle Morrison) Schroeder of Mayville, Daniel (Sandy) Schroeder of Oshkosh, and Juli (Jerome Rahn). Her siblings- Patricia Tank of Iowa, Mary (Norm) Sabel of Mayville, and Michael (Kathy) Matuszewski of Mayville. Her grandchildren- Sarah, Nicholas, Shana, Jason, Patrick, Brandon John, Brandon Michael, Logan, Hannah, Taylor, and Chloe. Her great grandchildren- Brooklyn, Felicity, Mateo, Elias, Bella, Jaxon, Brandt, and Rylynn. Her best friend and companion – Maggie. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack and beloved son Patrick.
