Jerome A. Schultz, 67, Milwaukee, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 after a brief bout with kidney cancer at the Crossroads Care Center of Mayville. He was born in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin on November 19, 1950 to Alfred and Lorraine (nee Vollmer) Schultz. Upon graduation from high school in 1968, he moved to Milwaukee to attend the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where he studied and earned a degree in Art History.Jerome began his career as an art journalist, prior to working over 30 years as an association manager for the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) at Executive Director Inc. (EDI) in downtown Milwaukee where he had recently retired. A long-time resident of Milwaukee’s lower east side, Jerome enjoyed art and culture, traveling, urban living, and spending time with family and friends. A kind, smart and witty character, Jerome was well-loved by his family, friends and colleagues.Jerome was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and Lorraine Schultz, and one brother Fred Schultz. He is survived by his brother Joseph (Carol) Schultz of Beaver Dam, sisters Mary Lou (Donald) Sorgent of Mayville and Mari Lynn (DuWayne) Griepentrog of Horicon, sister-in-law Cynthia Schultz of Great Falls, Montana, and nieces and nephews.A private burial is planned for Friday, October 12 at St. Peter’s Cemetery in Beaver Dam. Memorials in Jerome’s name may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Milwaukee Film Festival.
