Kahlhamer and was blessed to have nine siblings. Jerome had many friends after living his entire life in the Mayville area and graduating from Mayville High School. Jerome worked as the Lead CNC Machinist at Metalcraft of Mayville and recently achieved 29 years of service. Jerome was a loving, dedicated father who was devoted to his two sons, Jerome, Jr. and Owen. He enjoyed teaching them the many skills he had in landscaping, carpentry and masonry. He was a great role model in that he was hardworking, honest and respectful. He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren Evelyn and Mason. His eyes literally lit up when talking about his family.Jerome was also an avid motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed many hours of motorcycling with his family and close friend Warren Eilbes. Jerome was described as unbelievably nice and always willing to help others in time of need. He had a great sense of humor, was easy to talk to, and had a BIG heart…people enjoyed being with him. He will be remembered for his laugh and incredible smile!Jerome was also generous in his death as an organ donor. He was sustained on life support long enough to donate five of his organs to transplant recipients and tissue to possibly hundreds of others. Our family wants to express our deepest appreciation to the staff at Theda Care Medical Center for their compassionate care during the two days needed for the organ donation process. This extended stay gave our family more time with Jerome and each other.Jerome is survived by his sons, Jerome “Junior” Kahlhamer, Jr. (Ashley Kuechler-fiance) of Mayville, Owen Kahlhamer (Owen’s mother Cindi Wyatt and her husband Jim of Horicon), Evelyn and Mason Kahlhamer-grandchildren, and Rita Torres, girl-friend of many years. His siblings are Alan (Louise) Kahlhamer of Fond du Lac; Diane (Roger) Schultz of Paris, TN; Mark (Jackie) Kahlhamer of Mayville; Bruce Kahlhamer of Ogden, UT; Susan (Larry) Retzlaff of Mayville; John (Karla) Kahlhamer of Fond du Lac; Gary (Susana) Kahlhamer of Horicon; Daniel (Karen) Kahlhamer of Sun Prairie; and Christine (Tim) Frahm of Neenah. In addition he has many nieces/nephews and great nieces and nephews. Jerome was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Jeanette Kahlhamer. We hope that his beautiful spirit will live on in all whose lives he touched.
