Services: Thursday, February 20th at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville with the Rev. James Mallmann and the Rev. Sean Willman officiating. Burial will take place at St. John Cemetery, Mayville.
Visitation: Wednesday, February 19th at Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., and also on Thursday, February 20th from 11:00 a.m. until the 1:00 p.m. service at the church.
Jerome C. Vorlob, age 59, of 340 Nelson Road, Mayville, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Jerome was born on November 6, 1954 to Clarence and Hertha (Christian) Vorlob. Jerome was united in marriage to Karen Schneiter on October 13, 1979. He was a life-long member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. He served on the St. John school board for several years and was influential in the start-up of St. John daycare. He owned and operated Vorlob’s Service for 37 years. Jerome enjoyed Canadian hunting and fishing trips, snowboarding, kayaking, camping, spending time with family and friends.
Jerome is survived by: his wife Karen of 33 years; his children- Brooks (Gabe) Keeley of Milwaukee, Ashley (Matt) Rosenkranz of Germany, Mathew Vorlob of Mayville, and Nicki (special friend Meng Thao) Vorlob of Milwaukee; his father-in-law James Schneiter of Horicon; his brothers-in-law Wilbert (Jill) Schneiter of Fremont and Robert (Carey) Schneiter of Mayville; Sister-in-law- Beverly (Jeff) Kahlhamer of Horicon; further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by: his parents Clarence and Hertha Vorlob; his mother-in-law Marjorie Schneiter; many aunts and uncles.
