Jerry Lynn Desjarlais

November 3, 1935 - December 10, 2010

Jerry Desjarlais, age 75, died Friday, December 10, 2010 at his home in Horicon after a courageous battle with cancer.

Visitation for Jerry will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Monday, December 13, 2010 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to11:00 AM. Funeral services will be held at the Murray Funeral Home in Horicon on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Fr. Mike Petrie will officiate. Cremation will follow.

Jerry was born on November 3, 1935 in Dagget, Michigan to the late Clifford and Mary (Burie) Desjarlais. On February 20, 1954, he was united in marriage with Dorothy Mallon at St. Peter”s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam. Jerry retired from West Bend Company after working there for more than 25 years. He enjoyed working on cars and was an excellent mechanic. Jerry used to enjoy taking gambling trips with his wife, Dorothy; he also enjoyed snowmobiling and fishing and he was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.

Survivors include his five daughters, Jean (Ken Uelmen) Giese of Horicon, Cathy (Alan) Foust of Mayville, Christine (James, Sr.) Pierce of Beaver Dam, Cindy Dollar of Beaver Dam, Connie (Scott Mann) Jaeger of Beaver Dam; his three sons, James (Diane) Desjarlais of Beaver Dam, John (Julie Schuett) Desjarlais of Beaver Dam, and Walter “Louie” Desjarlais of Juneau; 22 grandchildren, many great grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Arlene Webb of Fox Lake, Leo Desjarlais of Columbus, William Desjarlais of Marinette, Ralph (Jean) Desjarlais of Beaver Dam, Arnold (Ginny) Desjarlais of Beaver Dam, and Faye (Harry) Westover of Coloma; sisters-in-law, Mary Desjarlais and Beverly Desjarlais, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, three brothers, Terry Desjarlais, Larry Desjarlais and Clifford “Sonny” Desjarlais, a brother-in-law, Frank Webb; and three sisters-in-law, Violet Desjarlais, Geraldine Desjarlais, and LaVerne Desjarlais.

Cheri was a co-worker and great friend we didn't get to see eachother the way we wanted to, but we kept in touch on the phone and on face book, She was a great buddy,My depestest symphty to Rich and he two boys who all were her whole world.
