Johanna “Hanna” Hall, age 92, of Beaver Dam, died on Wednesday, December 19, 2007 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Friends and family may call at The Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Saturday, December 22, 2007 starting at 12:00 Noon. The Funeral Service for Johanna will follow on Saturday at 1:00 PM with Angel Anaya officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery.
The former Johanna Dienstbeck was born on April 3, 1915 to the late Sebastian and Anna (Loffler) Dienstbeck in Straubing, Bavaria, Germany. On February 1, 1941 she was united in marriage with George Hall in Munich, Germany. On February 7, 1953, she immigrated to the United States and has been a resident of Beaver Dam since 1966. After moving here, Hanna was employed at Libby”s Canning Factory in Hartford, Henkels in Hustisford and Johnson Control in Watertown. Her assistance at the start of her husband”s company, Stainless Steel Fabricating in Columbus, helped make it a success. She was Vice President there until her death. Johanna and George had a winter home in Scottsdale, Arizona that they enjoyed spending time at and they would travel all over up until his death in 1999.
Survivors include her daughters, Eva Heim of Beaver Dam and Adelinde Schlicher of Ironwood, MI her son, George (Joy) Hall of Columbus, her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren, her twin sister, Theresa Hensel of Watertown and sister, Kathe Zenker of Wickede, Germany. Hanna is also survived by two half-brothers, two half-sisters and a step-sister, all in Germany, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Johanna was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, George, on June 14, 1999, her sister, Anna Keck, her three brothers, Sebastian, Otto and Hans Dienstbeck and her son-in-law, Jim Schlicher.
