June Georgene Kiesow

September 1, 1925 - January 15, 2013

June G. Kiesow, age 87, formerly of Horicon, died on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

The visitation will be at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon on Friday, January 18, 2013 from 11:30 AM until 12:45 PM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Friday at 1:00 PM with Rev. Daniel Seehafer officiating. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery in Horicon.

The former June Georgene Lorch was born on September 1, 1925 at the Swedish Covenant Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. On May 17, 1947 she was united in marriage with Norman Kiesow in Chicago. They made their home in Horicon and she was the first crossing guard and one of the first cooks at St. Stephen School. June worked at various places in and around Horicon and retired from Clearview Nursing Home doing custodial work. Her most important job was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. June cherished every moment spent with her family. She enjoyed camping, fishing and traveling to Navy reunions with her husband. June was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon.

Survivors are her husband, Norman of Beaver Dam; children, Kenneth (Becky) Kiesow of Canton, NC, and Karen (Dan) Buhalog of Arkdale; grandchildren, Katie Hall, Kenneth Kiesow, Jr., Kristopher (Carrie) Kiesow, Amanda Kiesow, Caroline Kiesow, Kathrynne Kiesow, Ryan Kiesow, Tracy (Greg) Richburg, and Jason (Jenni) Vorlob; eight great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Norman, Jr., and sister, Ruth Purok.

If desired, memorials may be made in June G. Kiesow”s name to St. Stephen Lutheran School 505 N. Palmatory St., Horicon, WI 53032.
