Kathy A. Dunning, age 62, of Fall River, died Monday, October 29, 2012 at St. Mary”s Hospital in Madison.
Family and friends are invited for light refreshments and a time to celebrate Kathy”s life at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 4:00 PM to7:00 PM.
The former Kathleen Ann Klug was born on August 26, 1950 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Adeline (Novenski) Klug. She graduated from Beaver Dam High School in 1968 and went on to vocational school in Fond du Lac where she earned her Associates Degree in Nursing. On May 22, 1971, Kathy was united in marriage with Ray Dunning in Beaver Dam. She began her nursing career at the Lutheran Hospital in Beaver Dam and switched to Beaver Dam Community Hospital where she worked for over 20 years. She worked at Dean Clinic in Columbus before she retired because of her health. Kathy took pleasure in the things closest to her; she loved her family, especially her grandchildren, she loved her dogs, and she enjoyed baking and cooking. She also enjoyed her friends and the monthly “meetings” with the other retired nurses, she enjoyed bowling and she enjoyed gambling.
Kathy is survived by her husband, Ray Dunning of Fall River; two children, Jason (Nicole) Dunning of Sun Prairie and Jessica Dunning of Fall River; two grandchildren, Logan and Ian; her mother, Adeline (Fred) Marquardt of Hot Springs, Arkansas; her brother and two sisters, Paul Klug of Beaver Dam, Lynn Klug of Fox Lake, and Becky (David) Holmes of Calumetville; her brother-n-law and two sisters-in-law, Sam (Kathy) Dunning of Fall River, Carleen (Robert) Beers of San Jose, CA, and Jane (Russell) Berndt of Fall River; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father; a sister, Mary Klug; her in-laws, Forest and Carmie Dunning; and a brother-in-law, Roger Dunning.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Kathy Dunning”s name to the Dodge County Humane Society, N6839 State Road 26 Juneau, WI 53039; or to the American Heart Association, 660 East Mason Street Milwaukee, WI 53202.
