Kenneth C. Gehrke

Kenneth C. Gehrke, age 74, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at his home in Beaver Dam.

A memorial gathering will be held at Murray Funeral Home, 131 E. Maple Avenue in Beaver Dam, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. Services will follow at the funeral home on Saturday beginning at 1:30 PM with Fr. Mike Erwin officiating.

Kenneth Charles Gehrke was born on February 26, 1939 in Hartford, Wisconsin to the late Charles and Glorace (Kuehl) Gehrke. He served in the United States Army from 1956 to 1962. On June 2, 1962, he was united in marriage with Barbara J. Gerretson in Dubuque, Iowa. Ken drove semi for 25 years and then drove haul truck for Newmont Mining Company in Nevada. When he was younger, Ken enjoyed hunting and fishing; cribbage was one of his favorite card games and Ken enjoyed watching the Packers and Brewers on television.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Gehrke of Beaver Dam; two children, Michael (Brenda) Gehrke of Montague, MI, and Michelle Falkowski of Beaver Dam; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jason, and Brandon; three great grandchildren, Logan, Micah, and David; other relatives and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his parents.
