Kenneth R. “Ken” Olig, 47, of Mayville passed away on Friday, March 2, 2018.Kenneth was born the son of Richard and Sandra (Lawrence) Olig on February 24, 1971 in Fond du Lac. He was a 1989 graduate of L.P. Goodrich High School in Fond du Lac and also attended UW-Whitewater. Ken was married to Tammy Braun on August 12, 1995 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Clarks Mills, WI. He was employed with Mayville Products and RuMar Manufacturing. Ken was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville. He was a member of the Knight of Columbus. Ken was involved with all of his children’s activities and was especially involved with Mayville sports. He loved bowling in the Thursday Night Business Men’s League with his sons. He enjoyed Brewer’s games and playing cards with his family and being on the farm with Al. Ken was always able to make people laugh and always took care of everyone else’s need first before his own. Ken is survived by his wife, Tammy of Mayville; his children: Adam (Sarah) Olig of Juneau, Jacob Olig of Mayville, and Kerri Olig of Mayville; his mother, Sandra Olig of Mayville; his sisters: Kay (Allen, Ken’s brother-in-law and best friend) Miller of Ripon and Kim (Remco) Steinmetz of the Netherlands; three aunts: Joanne Pike of Fond du Lac, Esther Olig of Fond du Lac, and Kathleen (Paul) McHugh of Oshkosh; his nephews: Alexander and Benjamin; his father-in-law, Glenn (Bridget) Braun of Collins, WI; his mother-in-law, Judy Hall of Chilton, WI; his brother-in-law: John (Trysha) Braun of Chandler, AZ and their daughter, Kaeleigh; sister-in-law, Amy (Cory) Hickmann of Hanover, MN and their daughters: Ella and Emri; brothers-in-law: Glen (Jill) Braun of Reedsville, WI and their sons: Parker and Chase, David Braun of New Holstein, WI, Dan (Natalie) Hall of De Pere, WI, and Joe (Melissa) Hall of Clarksville, TN and their sons: Liam, Grayson, and Ryan; his sisters-in-law: Montana Braun of Collins, WI and Chelsea (Matt Bornemann) Braun of New Holstein, WI; as well as other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father.A visitation will be held at the Koepsell Funeral Home in Mayville from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, and also on Thursday, March 8th at St. Mary Catholic Church in Mayville from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Tom Biersack will preside. Interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Fond du Lac.
