Lenore M. Stowell

Lenore M. Stowell, age 86, passed away Wednesday, August 15, 2012 at Arcadia Communities in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Lenore will be at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 511 S. Spring Street in Beaver Dam, on Monday, August 20, 2012 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church on Monday beginning at 11:30 AM. Rev. Michael J. Erwin will officiate. Burial will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Lenore was born on March 19, 1926 in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin to the late Louis and Pearl (Burns) Brown. On February 28, 1946, she was united in marriage with Harold V. Stowell in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. She had been active in the Catholic Church throughout her life; Lenore was currently a member of St. Katharine Drexel Parish and had been a past president of the St. Peter”s Christian Mothers.

Survivors include her seven children, Tere” Carole (Jim Montemurro) of Lake Geneva, Dennis Stowell of Milwaukee, Roger Stowell of Beaver Dam, Mary Stowell of Georgia, David (Sandy) Stowell of Horicon, Timothy (Ursula) Stowell of Alaska, and Joan (Wesley) Willis of New York; seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Lenore was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold Stowell; a grandson; and her brothers and sisters.
