Leola N. Roggenbauer, 89, a resident of the Charleston House in Beaver Dam and formerly of Mayville passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at Rainbow Hospice in Johnson Creek.Leola was born the daughter of Arthur and Lillie (Groth) Margelofsky on August 28, 1928. She was married to Lester Roggenbauer on October 18, 1947 at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville. Leola was employed with Mayville Metal until her retirement. Leola was a member of St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville where she served as a member of the Altar Guild, Quilters, and was a school aid. Leola enjoyed playing cards and bingo, fishing, and watching and going to Brewer games. Leola is survived by her daughter: Cheryl (Gene) Harder of Wisconsin Dells; her siblings: Patty Bertel of Mayville and Chester (June) Margelofsky of Mayville; her sister and brother-in-law: LaVern Margelofsky of Mayville and Otto Bartsch of Lomira; her grandchildren: Timothy (Jill) Harder of West Bend and Jason (Jackie) Harder of Baraboo; great-grandchildren: Aiden and Alison Harder of West Bend; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester in 2001; two brothers: Wallace and LeRoy; and two sisters: Alice Bartsch and Florence Heuer. A visitation will be held on at St. John Ev. Lutheran Church in Mayville on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Rev. Daniel Seehafer will officiate. Interment will take place at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Mayville. Memorials may be directed to Rainbow Hospice Care or to the St. John’s Organ Fund.Leola’s family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at the Charleston House and Rainbow Hospice for the excellent care they provided.
