Leonard H. Sadowske

July 9, 1918 - July 6, 2013

Leonard H. Sadowske, age 94, a life-long area resident, died Saturday, July 6, 2013 at his home in Beaver Dam.

Visitation for Leonard will be at St. Katharine Drexel Church, 511 S. Spring Street in Beaver Dam, on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 9:00 AM to 10:50 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at church at 11:00 AM with Fr. Michael J. Erwin officiating. Burial will be at St. Peter”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.

Leonard Harold Sadowske was born on July 9, 1918 in the Town of Westford, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late John and Appolonia “Leona” (Ferstl) Sadowske. He was united in marriage with Pearl Wagner in 1943 and she preceded him in death in 1978. In 1980, Leonard was united in marriage with Lorraine Link. He farmed outside of Beaver Dam for over 65 years. Leonard was a member of St. Peter”s Catholic Church, currently St. Katharine Drexel Parish, and had been a member of the Holy Name Society. He enjoyed playing Euchre and he loved the outdoors and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Lorraine Sadowske of Beaver Dam; three children, Thomas (Pamela) Sadowske of Waupun, Margaret (Floyd) Kitelinger of Hixton, and Gladys (Rodger) Mattson of Beaver Dam; a daughter-in-law, Dawn Sadowske of Beaver Dam; three granddaughters; two great grandsons; his sister-in-law, Eleanor Sadowske of Wichita, Kansas; three step sons, Randall (Diane) Link, Terry Link (Laura), and Jeffrey Link; step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; other relatives and friends. Leonard was preceded in death by his first wife, Pearl; a son, Edward Sadowske; and his brother, Wilbert Sadowske.
