There will be a tolling of the 1857 bell in his honor at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 11th. The museum will be open following the bell tolling for anyone who wishes to see George's work.
Leslie C. Schwoch, age 86, of Burnett, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Private services will be held by Rev. Daniel Seehafer.
Leslie Charles Schwoch was born on December 19, 1925 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin the late Lester and Ida (Thoma) Schwoch. After graduating from Beaver Dam High School, Les served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952 to 1954. On October 22, 1955, he was united in marriage with Iva Schroeder at Zion Lutheran Church in Burnett. Les was a member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Horicon and the Horicon American Legion Post #157.
Survivors include his wife, Iva Schwoch of Burnett; four children, Vicki (Rodney) Nelson of Beaver Dam, Lon Schwoch of Beaver Dam, Connie Fletcher of Beaver Dam, and Lynn Schwoch (Julie Stutz) of Juneau; grandchildren and great grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
If desired, memorials may be made to St. Stephen Lutheran Church, 505 North Palmatory in Horicon or to the charity of your choice.
