Lilyan M. Welch, age 88, formerly of Beaver Dam, died on September 26, 2010 in Canton, Ohio.
Graveside services will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Beaver Dam on Friday, November 26, 2010 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Patricia Lyon officiating.
Lilyan Minnie Welch was born on January 14, 1922 to Alfred and Minnie (Davies) Welch in the Town of Westford, Dodge County, Wisconsin. She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School. In 1949 she moved to Cleveland, Ohio where she worked at the New York Deli for 35 years until her retirement in 1987. Lilyan loved to travel all over the world. She was very close with her foster family and loved her many friends as thou they were family.
Lilyan is survived by her sister-in-law, Helen Welch, foster brothers, Arthur (Margaret) Bennett, Ronald (Marlene) Bennett, Ronald (Marlene) Bennett, and Terrence (Bonnie) Bennett, all of Beaver Dam, special friends, Stephanie Parson and Traci Kotnik, both of Ohio, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, foster parents, Arthur and Esther Bennett, brothers, Howard Welch and James Welch, sisters, Dorothy Welch, Gladys Sales and Mildred Steuch.
