Lois A. Groth, age 76, of Mayville passed away on Friday,August 8, 2014 at her home with her family at her side.Funeral services for Lois A. Groth will be held at Immanuel Lutheran Church (River Church), Tn. Theresa on Tuesday, August 12 at 1:30 p.m. with the Rev. Douglas Zahner officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday, August 11 from 4p.m. till 7p.m. at the Koepsell Funeral Home, Mayville and also on Tuesday August 12, at Immanuel Lutheran Church (River Church), Tn. Theresa from 12:00 p .m. – 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held at Hochheim Cemetery, Tn. Herman.Lois A. Groth was born on November 21, 1937, the daughter of William and Bertha (Roediger) Keup . She was a graduate of the Mayville High School in 1955. On June 6, 1959 she was united in marriage to Marvin H. Groth at Immanuel Lutheran Church (River Church) in Tn. Theresa. Lois was employed at West Bend Aluminum Co. and together with her husband worked the family farm in the town of Herman.Lois was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church (River Church) Tn. Theresa, she enjoyed embroidery, cards, baking, bird watching, fishing and time at the family cottage. Lois is survived by her children; Cheryl (Jeff) Giese of Wisconsin Dells, David (Arlesse) Groth of Mayville, John (Diane) Groth of Round Lake, IL and Paul (Sara) Groth of Brillion; sister Virginia (Herman) Laabs of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren; Jeremy (Megan) Giese, Janel Giese, Megan (Ben) Mueller, Katie (Alex) Krueger, Kari Groth, Corin Groth, Nicholas Groth, Adam Groth, Jacob Groth, Julia Groth; step-grandchildren Chad Smith, Ashley Smith, Meaghan Smith; great grandchildren Ella Giese, Lily Groth, Crystall Mueller; step great grandchild Clayton Mahlum nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Marvin in 2007, sister Sylvia Athey, brother Martin Keup, sister-in-law Gertrude Keup, brother-in-law James Athey.
