Lola Mae Johnson, age 83, of Mayville, WI passed away on Monday, June 23, 2015 at St. Agnes Hospital in Fond du Lac.A private family service will take place. Family and friends are welcomed to a memorial luncheon at the Mayville Senior Center in Mayville on Friday, June 26 starting at 4 pm. Lola was born the daughter of Elmer & Laura (Wichmann) Leistekow on July 2, 1931 in the town of Westford, WI. She was united in marriage to John Kempfer on November 19, 1951. Later in life she was united in marriage to Cliff Johnson. Early in her life she was employed by Seneca Foods. Family was important to Lola and being a grandmother was something very near and dear to her heart. In her spare time, Lola enjoyed nature while walking around town and visiting local shops and restaurants. Lola is survived by: her children- Robert (Bev) Kempfer of Wild Rose, Dale (Connie) Kempfer of Escondido, CA., Larry (Penny) Kempfer of Mayville, and Debbie (fiancé Jeromy Dahlke) Hines of Ripon. Her sister- Ruth (Wally) Hart of Juneau. Her brother- Gordan (Donna) Leistekow of Beaver Dam. Her 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. Further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s John and Cliff, her sisters- Delores Leistekow, Elda Mills, and Irma Cotter, one brother- Howard Leistekow.
