Louella A. Machkovich, age 89, of Beaver Dam, died Saturday, November 15, 2008 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.
Visitation for Louella will be at Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Wednesday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. John Schreiter will officiate. Burial will be at St. Michael”s Cemetery in the Town of Beaver Dam, Dodge County, Wisconsin.
The former Louella A. Strahota was born on October 19, 1919 in Reeseville, Wisconsin to the late Walter and Ella (Strohbusch) Strahota. She was united in marriage with Vincent Kurkowski, who preceded her in death in 1944. In 1945, she was united in marriage with James Machkovich, who preceded her in death in 2003. Louella loved to play bingo and she had been a member of St. Michael”s Catholic Church in Beaver Dam.
Survivors include two daughters, Carol McDougel of Beaver Dam and Donna (Oscar) Hensley of Waupun, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, two sisters, Margaret Powers of Milwaukee and Patricia Strahota of Portage, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Louella was preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, a son, Jerome Kurkowski, a daughter, Patricia Martin, a grandson, Joseph Pickhardt, seven brothers and four sisters.
