Luciell S. Firari, age 84, of Beaver Dam, formerly of Lebanon, died on Thursday, March 8, 2012 at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Visitation for Lucy will be at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Monday, March 12, 2012 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and at Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell on Tuesday, March 13, 2012 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. The funeral service will follow at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 AM with Rev. Paul Vander Galien officiating. Burial will be at Lowell Cemetery.
Mrs. Firari was born on January 30, 1928, in Dodge County, the daughter of Ernest and Meta (Huebner) Grosenick. She was married on May 24, 1952, to Milton E. Firari, Sr. in Lebanon, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Firari was baptized, confirmed, and married at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Old Lebanon. She worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory in Beaver Dam until her retirement. Lucy was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Lowell where she was active with the church ladies aid. She enjoyed bowling, baking and needlepoint and was a good seamstress. Lucy also enjoyed going up north, spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and all her friends. She will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Milton Firari, Sr. of Beaver Dam; four children, Milton “Shorty” Firari, Jr. of Beaver Dam, Mary L. Goeller (Dennis Kempf) of Fox Lake, Chris S. (John) Wopp, of Beaver Dam, and Delvin (Mary Ann) Grosenick of Allentown, PA; ten grandchildren, Jennifer Miller, Ashley, Megan, Michelle, and Colleen Grosenick, Connie (Darin) Schumann, Cassie (Dale) Schmidt, Doug Goeller, Nicole Dunham, and Alyson Dunham; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Myrtle Grosenick and Doris (Howard) Hilgendorf, both of Watertown; three brothers, Arnold (Viola) Grosenick of Jefferson, Edgar Grosenick of Ixonia, Lawrence (Gertie) Grosenick of Watertown; three sisters-in-law; Doreen Grosenick of Watertown, Janet Grosenick of Reeseville and Dorothy Grosenick of Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son in infancy, four brothers, Edward, Marvin, LeRoy, and Ernie Grosenick; and one sister, Ruth Grosenick.
The family suggests that memorials be made in Luciell S. Firari”s name to Salem Lutheran Church Pad the Pew Fund.
