Margaret Rupnow, 81 years old, of township of Oak Grove, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at St. Mary Hospital in Madison.A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26th at 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, township of Oak Grove, with the Rev. Dale Hella officiating. A visitation will also be held on Monday, October 26th from 12:00 noon – 2:00 p.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery.Margaret was born on September 1, 1934 to Ervin and Edna (Benzel) Walther in Mayville, WI. She was a graduate of Mayville High School. Margaret was united in marriage to Waldemar H. Rupnow on September 13, 1969 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Mayville. She was employed by Purity Cheese in Mayville and Jensen’s Piggly Wiggly in Juneau.Margaret was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in the township of Oak Grove. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, and her flower gardens.Margaret is survived by: her brother Ervin Walther of Princeton and her sister-in law Norma Walther of Eau Claire; further sisters and brothers-in-laws- Nada Rupnow of Janesville, Marilyn (Bob) Schultz of Juneau, Karen (Earl) Winker of Watertown, David (Josie) Rupnow of Beaver Dam, Lawrence (Belva) Rupnow of Juneau, Bert (Joanne) Rupnow of Watertown, Karen Rupnow of West Bend; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.Margaret is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Waldemar in 1984, her sisters Helen & Lorraine, and her brother Robert.
