Margery A. Schroeder, age 82, of Burnett, died Wednesday, January 2, 2008 at the Beaver Dam Community Hospital.

Friends may call at the Murray Funeral Home in Beaver Dam on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM. Funeral services will follow at the funeral home on Friday, beginning at 11:00 AM. Fr. Carlos Florez will officiate. Burial will be at Burnett Central Cemetery.

The former Margery Ann Schoenberger was born on May 31, 1925 in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to the late Albert and Estelle (Peirick) Schoenberger. She was a graduate of Beaver Dam High School, class of 1943. On October 21, 1950, she was united in marriage with Alois “Loie” Schroeder in Beaver Dam. Together they farmed their land near Burnett. Margery also worked at Weyenberg Shoe Factory and at the Pyramid Supper Club for many years. She was a member of St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Parish in Beaver Dam.

Survivors include her two children, Lois (Thomas) Berndt of Burnett and Glen (Wanda) Schroeder of Oak Creek, her four grandchildren, Julie Berndt of Monona, Allison Berndt of Eau Claire, Joshua Schroeder of Bay View and Stephanie Schroeder of Oak Creek, two brothers, Robert (Myrtle) Schoenberger of Beaver Dam and R. Lawrence (Kathy) Schoenberger of Genesee Depot, her brother-in-law, Orin (Velma) Schroeder of Beaver Dam, her sister-in-law, Iva (Leslie) Schwoch of Burnett, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Margery was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her sister, Kathryn Marks-Laudenbach.

The family suggests that memorials be made in Margery A. Schroeder”s name to Hillside Manor Activity Fund, 803 S. University Avenue, Beaver Dam, Wisconsin 53916.

We were shocked and sadden on Ruben's passing; we found out about one hour ago. Ruben was always a happy face that greated us as we entered Hustisford High. We enjoyed talking about his accomplishments in archery. Ruben cannot be replaced by one person as a worker for the School District as he did twice the work of some other people.We cannot attend the funeral due to other commitments but had to let you know he was a great guy! I'd like to express my condolences from myself and my family to the family of Rueben. He was our neighbor for many years. He was a great neighbor.... always busy working outside and took the time to be so friendly and talkative. He watched out for us as we did for him in regards to being neighbors. He was always so very proud to tell us about his archery success stories. He was a nice man, this is a shock to many.
