Marguerite L. Kuhn, age 90, of Beaver Dam, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Hillside Manor in Beaver Dam.

A memorial mass will be celebrated at St. Kilian Catholic Church in Hartford on Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Family and friends may gather at the church on Saturday from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. Marguerite”s cremated remains will be inurned at St. Kilian Cemetery in Hartford.

Marguerite Gahlman Klinger Kuhn was born on March 27, 1917 in the Town of Clyman, Dodge County, Wisconsin to the late Benjamin and Loretta (Metzger) Gahlman. She was united in marriage with Francis Klinger on September 12, 1939 at St. Bernard”s Catholic Church in Watertown. They lived in Hartford for many years. Marguerite was a seamstress and was employed at W.B. Place & Co. in Hartford for 12 years. She later did custom sewing and alterations in her home. She and her husband were also foster parents for infants for many years. Francis preceded Marguerite in death on July 5, 1969. After his death, she worked as a nursing assistant for 10 years and later as a seamstress for Charles Fischer & Sons in Watertown. On March 2, 1979, she was united in marriage with Robert Kuhn. He preceded her in death on October 25, 1984.

Marguerite is survived by her nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first and second husbands, four brothers, Maurice, Francis, Henry and Richard Gahlman, and two sisters, Gertrude Grams and Dorothy Kearns.

My Aunt Marguerite was an important part of my family''s life until Uncle Jack died. Somehow, after his death, we lost touch with her. I remember so many fun times and laughter and good meals we shared with them. Since all my other aunts are now dead, I can say out loud that "Jack''s Marguerite" was my favorite aunt--for her kind and loving ways--for her sweet nature--for her happiness.
