Marie M. Soldner, age 91, of Waterloo, formerly of Reeseville, died Monday, October 18, 2010 at Sienna Crest Assisted Living in Marshall.
Visitation for Marie will be at the United Church of Christ in Reeseville on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 12:00 Noon to 2:00 PM. Funeral services will follow at the church on Friday, beginning at 2:00 PM. Pastor Lois A. Rosko will officiate. Burial will be at Second Reformed Cemetery in the Town of Lowell.
Marie was born on October 26, 1918 in Springvale, Wisconsin. She was the daughter of Jacob and Marie (Spring) Tschan; they were cheese makers. Marie was united in marriage with Clarence “Joe” Soldner on June 24, 1937 at the Second Reformed Church in Reeseville. They lived on and operated the family farm for much of their lives. Marie was a member of the United Church of Christ in Reeseville.
Survivors include her daughters, Jane (Jim) Lorbiecki and Joyce Soldner, both of Waterloo; her son, Glenn (Janelle) Soldner of Waterloo; three grandchildren, Regina (Brent) Mosher of Marshall, Chelsea (Michael) Harris of Madison, and Jessica Soldner of Chicago; a step grandson, Keven (Lisa) Lorbiecki of West Bend; four great grandchildren, Quinn and Corissa Mosher, and Kyan and Anya Harris; three step great grandchildren, Derek, Nicholas, and Gunnar Lorbiecki; other relatives and friends. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; her step father, Ed Lehmann; her husband; three brothers, Jake, Hans, and Alfred Tschan; and three sisters-in-law, Linda Christman, LaVergne (Tschan) Bell, and Florence Tschan.
If desired, memorials may be made in Marie Soldner”s name to the United Church of Christ in Reeseville.
